Film Screening: Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust

Craig Leeson’s search for the elusive blue whale turns into something much bigger as he discovers plastic waste in what should be pristine ocean. Leeson spends the next four years teaming up with free diver Tanya Streeter and an international team of scientists and researchers, traveling the world to explore the fragile state of our oceans, uncover alarming truths about plastic pollution, and reveal working solutions that can be put into immediate effect.

The 2018 Eco-Film series is offered in partnership by the Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust and the Lowell Film Collaborative, and supported by Mill City Environmental, Enterprise Bank, Lowell Cultural Council, Lowell Sustainability Council, and Eno, Martin & Donahue LLP. The series features a specially curated grouping of feature films and shorts covering an array of visually striking and thought-provoking films showcasing environmental topics on the last Tuesday of each month from January to June. Films are shown at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center at 246 Market Street, Lowell. Screenings are free and start at 6:30 p.m.
Free parking for the film series is available at the Visitor Center parking lot located at 304 Dutton Street, Lowell.
