BlueCommunities Inaugural Event Celebrating Earth Day

Join The Social Forestry Project and Plastic Oceans International as we celebrate Earth Day with BlueCommunities Detroit’s first event! We will be cleaning up the shoreline and more at Maheras Gentry Park in Detroit, MI as well as giving away free tree saplings (baby trees).
Safety is our first priority – all Covid-19 safety protocols are to be followed including wearing a mask at all times, and appropriately socially distancing. We will have gloves, mask, hand sanitizer, and trash collecting bags to distribute to volunteers. Due to these restrictions we will be limiting event size to 50 participants. Please register in advance by filling out our Google Form – https://forms.gle/mAL94ynAXivZ853p9 – or by emailing us at socialforestryproject@gmail.com
Event check-in will be all the way in the back of the park on the river under the pavilion.
Please bring your own water bottle and snacks as we will not be providing either to ensure event safety.
