Former Vice President of the Royal Geographic Society, and Chair of the Expeditions and Fieldwork Division, Paul is currently Expedition leader for the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expedition. Paul’s broadcasting work with the BBC news reporting and commentaries on TV, National and Local radio, and BBC World Service. He has been awarded HM The Queen’s Polar Medal, the US Polar Medal and Royal Geographical Society’s Ness Award.
