Denise Lira-Ratinoff

Interdisciplinary Artist

Denise Lira Ratinoff is an Interdisciplinary Artist with connotated experience as far as presenting the environmental problems of the Ocean through the Arts. At present, she lives and works in Chile, the United States and Germany.

Denise has had exhibits in many countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Recently she was awarded the Honorary Award for Best Exhibition of the Year along with Patricio Aguilar Diaz with the CHRONOMETER Installation in Santiago, Chile.

Her work explores the connections and relationships between humanity and nature creating installations that wish to demonstrate and establish the symmetries, closeness and proximities between them. The materials and equipment that she uses is a combination of photography, video, sound, organic materials, plastic residues and a direct contact with space with the intention of awakening and experimenting each one of the senses.

At present she is in the process of production, development and direction of the Film AIR(E). This production from the Arts to the movie screen reflects about the devastating acoustic contamination and uncontrolled contamination of plastic in the Ocean.

Denise Lira Ratinoff es Artista Interdisciplinaria con connotada experiencia en torno a exponer las problemáticas ambientales del Océano a través del Arte. Actualmente, vive y trabaja en Chile, EEUU y Alemania.

Ha expuesto en diversos países en América, Europa y Asia. Recientemente recibió́ el premio de honor a mejor exposición del año junto a Patricio Aguilar Díaz con la Instalación CRONOMETRO.

Su obra explora las conexiones y relaciones entre humanidad y naturaleza creando Instalaciones que buscan evidenciar y establecer las simetrías, cercanía y proximidades entre ambas. La materialidad que utiliza es una combinación entre fotografía, video, sonidos, materiales orgánicos, residuos plásticos y un contacto directo en el espacio con la intención de despertar y experimentar cada uno de los sentidos.

Actualmente se encuentra en proceso de producción, desarrollo y dirección de la Película AIR(E). Esta puesta en escena desde el Arte a la pantalla Cinematográfica reflexiona sobre la desgarradora contaminación Acústica y descontrolada contaminación por Plástico en el Océano.
