Plastic Oceans Europe Launch Event

Plastic Oceans Europe is the newest branch of Plastic Oceans International. We are excited to be holding our official launch event at Sharma Climbing Barcelona, where you are invited to an evening of film and conversation.

Speakers will include Mike Bilodeau, executive director of Plastic Oceans Europe; Chris and Fern, the founders of Kashaya Kombucha; and Chris Sharma, one of the most iconic rock climbers in the world and the founder of Sharma Climbing. We’ll also be showing four amazing short films:

• A Plastic Ocean – the 22-minute version of this award-winning documentary
• Sea Change, six minutes of stunning filmmaking about South African surfer and eco-warrior, John McCarthy
• The Swimmer, a two-minute short  that documents one 90-year-old man’s relationship with the sea
• And a short climbing film about Chris Sharma, to be announced soon.

Attendees will enjoy a serving of Kashaya Kombucha. Come on out and learn about what we have in the works for bringing the Plastic Oceans programs to the European continent!
