Florian Legrand
Florian was raised in the French Alps, close to lake Leman where he began to spend lots of time wandering wild places. In love with nature and animals from childhood, he chose to pursue a Master’s degree in Environment while learning photography and journalism in order to understand and illustrate natural issues and raise awareness about them. To this end, he uses his images for scientific projects, writes articles and animates events on the protection of our planet.
After travelling the world and spending some time studying invasive plant species in South Africa, he came back to France where he began to work as an Environment Officer for a community of communes for two years before starting his own business as a naturalist photographer and journalist. He joined Plastic Oceans Europe in order to make a difference on the protection of his favourite biome : the Ocean.
When not working, Florian is an enduro mountain biking enthusiast, a shark lover and an astrophotography addict.
