Maria Fernanda Chavez

Licenciada en Lingüística y Literatura Inglesas, minor en Historia del Arte, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Desde pequeña ha sentido la necesidad de generar conciencia sobre la importancia del cuidado del océano y el planeta. Tiene gran interés en comprender cómo el ser humano se relaciona con la naturaleza, cómo la hace presente, y qué significa para la humanidad. Además de Plastics Oceans, es voluntaria en ong Te Protejo. Actualmente se encuentra cursando un Magister en Arqueología en la Universidad de Chile, con la finalidad de contribuir a resolver algunas interrogantes sobre el arte rupestre.

She has a degree in English Linguistics and Literature, minor in Art History, at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Since she was a child, she has felt the need to raise awareness about the importance of caring for the ocean and the planet. She is very interested in understanding how human beings relate to nature, how they make it present, and what it means for humanity. In addition to Plastics Oceans, she is a volunteer at the NGO Te Protejo. She is currently studying a Master’s in Archeology at the University of Chile, with the aim of helping to resolve some questions about cave paintings.
