Susana Argüelles
BlueCommunities Director, Mexico
Susana has dedicated her life trajectory to the preservation and conservation of the environment, participating since a very young age in Model United Nations in Mexico
and New York.
Her profesional path was later defined after living for a time in a Nature Reserve for the conservation of species in South Africa, working directly with the animals, helping them reintegrate into their habitat. Likewise, she gave talks on animal species and environmental conservation, as well as the organization of movements in
support of animal protection.
She graduated from International Relations, specialized in Environmental Science from the
Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
She worked for about 6 months in WWF, in the area of Strategy and Fundraising. She complemented her daily experience with courses and a Master Class on conservation taught by Dr. Jane Goodall.
She has been part of Plastic Oceans Mexico since January 2018, where she currently works as Director of the BlueCommunities project in Mexico, making the recovery of our ocean and its species a priority, seeking to end plastic pollution.
